FELLOW AND INTERNATIONAL EXAMINER WITH THE NATD AND CHAMPION ADJUDICATOR :

I was born in Birmingham, England and started dancing at the age of 3 doing ballet and tap. At age 6, I began my training in Ballroom and Latin dancing. My love of dancing grew from that time on. I entered my first junior competition 1 year later. I turned professional at 17 and obtained my Associate Membership certificates in Ballroom and Latin dancing all before the age of 21. I am currently a Fellow in both Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I have also successfully completed the examinations in Old Time and Freestyle. I continued the competition circuit up until I came to the United States. I have competed in major competitions throughout Europe.

Since I came to Boston, I became certified in the American Style of Smooth and Rhythm dancing. I trained many college dance teams including Northeastern, UMass Amherst, Harvard, and MIT. I am an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Dance (NATD), and the National Dance Council of America.

I have been the owner/director of Footloose Dance Studio in Malden, MA since 2002. I teach all levels of International Ballroom and Latin dances as well as American Smooth and Rhythm. I have students at all levels for private and group classes. We teach both competitive and social styles. We also enter many Pro-Am competitions throughout the US and Canada.

I actively work with individuals with disabilities and rescue animals. I have taught dance classes for people with disabilities and limitations and prepared them for dance examinations.
